Century - A ride of about 100 miles. For routing reasons, a century may be slightly shorter or longer. There are many excellent century bike rides and the UMCA does not include all century events in the calendar.
Larry Schwartz award - The UMCA sponsors the annual Year-Rounder. Riders who complete at least a century each month of the year earn the Larry Schwartz award and receive a medal. To allow for winter, participants can make up two century rides in other months. Larry Schwartz award
Year-Rounder - The UMCA Year-Rounder Challenge is a year-long bicycle mileage challenge designed to showcase consistent performance in cycling throughout the season. 12-hour & 24-hour races - The objective in a 12- or 24-hour race is to cover as many miles as possible. Riders complete laps on looped courses of varying length. UCC event - Ultracycling Cup racers compete in a series of double centuries, 12- and 24- hour races, RAAM qualifiers and the Race Across America to determine the best ultra racers of the season. Ultracycling Cup
