| End Points for Cross-California Cycling Records | |

| To challenge a record a cyclist must start and finish at the same end-points, although the bicycle rider may choose a different route between the end points. | |
| Historically California had only one west-east route in the southern part of the state and traffic has increasingly become a problem. In 2007 new east and west endpoints were established in the northern part of the state and in 2008 new east and west endpoints were established in the southern part of the state. | |
