Final 2008 Indoor Challenge News
The super long sessions make all the difference.   John Jurczynski rode for 113 hours breaking the Guiness World Record!   Guiness rules are a little more relaxed than the Indoor Challenge rules so his longest non-stop session was 91 hours!

John logged 161 hours for a total of 603 points.   While Arvid Loewen's 249 hours and 74 sessions was certainly more than impressive, it was worth only 489 points.

Paul Zbiek was within 11 hours of John's total but because of length of his sessions, his total points were only 352.   Paul turned in one 11 hour session and 16 6 hour sessions!   While this is still impressive indoor riding, it shows how those super long sessions add the points.

Marko Baloh again makes strong showing in the challenge securing the fourth position.   He had the third longest session this season at 12 hours.   Marko had more sessions than Paul but they were of shorter duration.

Peter Leiss took fifth place with just over 200 points and eleven 6 hour sessions.

Participation was down in the indoor challenge this year as only 21 riders turned in sessions.   11 riders turned in sessions of 6 hours or more.   That is half the number from the 2007 indoor challenge.
